Mining History at Keswick Ghyll site

Big thanks to the National Trust for putting on a talk about the mining history that surrounds Stoney Croft Ghyll. Stoney Croft Ghyll is the most used Ghyll scramble in the north lakes due to it being really accessible from Keswick as well as being a good introduction Ghyll for anyone who hasn’t scrambled before. Over the years I’ve picked up bits of knowledge but this afternoons session that was run by a geologist really gave me more of an insight to what really went on during the mining days of the north lakes during the 16 century. Thank you ‪#‎nationaltrust‬
