A new video of our two most popular activities. This makes a great combo day.
Here’s a write up on a customers blog after a Ghyll scrambling session Ellen’s family had the other weekend. Happy reading..
Spent yesterday afternoon over in Keswick doing some Ghyll scrambling with a family from Glasgow. Thanks for the great session hope to see you again soon.
Eden Valley Adventures have been doing a spot of different work this weekend. A few weeks ago I was emailed asking whether I could support 5 open water swimmers across Buttermere & Crummock water as part of a weekend adventure. Having never worked on these two Cambrian lakes which you have to get permits for, I was naturally curious. The paddling/safety part was the easy bit, the logistics took a bit of working out. The day went without any faff due to proper preparation. Both lakes are stunning and with the help of no wind and blue skies made the day even more awesome.
Eden Valley Adventures have been freelancing for the past 4 days over in Ullswater helping out with Duke of Edinburgh training & assessment. The first days training was on teaching navigation around the patterdale and glenridding area low level stuff. The second day was up over boredale hause over to angle tarn and on to the knott and down to hayeswater. Days three and 4 where the assessment days. Here are a couple of pics from where i had to sit out and wait for the groups to walk through, glad for the pleasant weather.
Great Morning in the Ghyll with two super nice families that were up for the challenge.
