FSRT: Foundation Safety and Rescue The course aims to provide the student with the key safety and rescue skills required to operate safely in a sheltered water environment and to be able to deal with common emergencies.These skills will then form the basis of all safety and rescue training throughout the BCU Scheme. Ideal for people wanting to do their Level 1 Coach, or club paddlers.

Eden Valley Adventures use a variety of locations in the Cumbria area. 1 Day course £65 per person + certification fee. £10 non BCU Member £5 BCU Member.    Minimum of 4 people. If your coming from far afeild we have a number of places that you could stay.  We have use of a static caravan in Cliburn near Penrith, we also use camping facilities at Mains Farm Kirkoswald Near Carlisle. Have a look at our links page to view Park Foot camp site on shore of Ullswater or if your in a large group we use Fell End bunk house accomodation which sleeps upto 16 peaple near Kirbystephen.     WWSR: White Water Safety and Rescue The WWSR training course is designed for all paddlers operating in a moderate to advanced white water environment in either kayak or canoe. This course is very ‘hands-on’ and will teach simple and safe practical skills to improve your river awareness. The training is required for those seeking their 4 star leader award.
